Limited Edition GICLEE PRINTS NOW AVAILABLE!!!

Most of my work has been photographed recently with a HIGH RES CAMERA thanks to Tony at Berkeley Giclee, and is now available in Limited Edition Giclee format in several sizes. So if my paintings were out of reach due to price or size in the past, this is no longer the case! Call or email me to procure a signed Limited Edition Print! nategeare@gmail.com or 619-395-6592

Explore each series and come to your own conclusions as to what his content means and how it fits in with a larger contemporary lexicon of American pop imagery.

This show represents the latest in my ongoing series of paintings themed around the Napa/Sonoma countryside. Cows, trains and barns have been the focus of my work for several years now. This show is the culmination of the series. 2015 will be a year of... something different! YES!!! As much as I love the rural subject matter, I feel I am finally reaching a stopping point. This isn't to say that I won't revisit the cow/barn/train theme at some point in my life. For now, however, this show represents the end of an era for me.  Let me take this opportunity to briefly state, although the Napa/ Sonoma countryside is the influence for this series of paintings and I did take many pictures of the area as reference material, NONE of the paintings in this show are actually direct representations of local cows, barns, or trains. Many of the cows you will see are Swiss in origin, as I have made several trips to the land of cheese (not Wysconsin) in the last 4 years. And the barns can be found in the countryside of Illinois, Mississippi, as well as parts of California. And the 119 freight train is a historical reference to the Golden Spike Ceremony which took place on Promontory Summit in Celebration of completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, May 10, 1869 effectively connecting the east and the west coasts in one continuous line of track.

RENEGADE GALLERY'S FINAL SHOW OF THE SEASON. DON'T MISS IT!

renegade gallery presents "black sat"

Renegade Gallery is interested in up and coming artists who work in a variety of mediums; from Ceramic wares and found object sculpture to conceptual and classically trained early to mid-career painters and photographers. We are very interested in the experimental work, the transitional, the awkward, in addition to the refined and the calculated. I strongly encourage our artists to use renegade GALLERY as a facility to work outside their comfort zone and try new experimental ideas.
